as fights go, last night's was a pretty bad one... having wrapped up a great and eventful weekend at silly-con valley (venture a guess at that one.. it's workable, and the autowallahs are out to con you), i landed back home at night, tired and sleepy. i spoke to her, and told her what i did after she left. she thought i'd blown her off to go visit another friend. i lied stupidly, and got caught. there was no need for it, i could've just said it straight, but i didn't. i fucked up. she gave me hell. i knew i was wrong, even if objectively the issue was small. trust is built gradually over time, like grains of sand rolled into a flawless pearl by the laps of so many waves. but it can erode so much faster by the smallest mistakes. last night was my turn to be a jerk. i aced it. i'm sorry.

hehehe...aren't women funny that ways? i wonder how they can catch that slightest little tone in our voice when we're lying! what's funnier though, is the fact that on most occassions, they choose to ignore these little lies we tell!
it must be love!
so what if they don't ignore the lies? that ain't love then? :)
Tehehe..

Ah, well, Id put it down to instinct. And I love the way you have written it, but somehow I'd want you to go back and tell her that. Just what you wrote.
I don't know if I'm making too much of it, but I've felt the same way sometimes, and always knew talking through it was the best way to get through things together and intact.

@Newbie - thanx for the advice.. you're right, talking it out is the best way to get thru it.. it's hard for two people in a relationship to just sweep stuff under a carpet and say stuff like, "i'm sorry, let's just forget it." although, somtimes there's nothing more to say beyond the fact that you're sorry.. :)
True hon, escapism hardly ever works.. What is that people say something along the lines of:
Don't ever cover up a corpse/situations and expect it/them to go away. You will sooner or later have to deal with it. With the slow decay, the deterioration, the stench.

And I have to ask, What is your name? Hard to call you da, when most of my fond terms of endearment are saying Hi da :)
Blame it on South Indian languages (:

I agree...dunno why a disagreement must be settled by agreeing to disagree on so many occassions? i'd prefer talking it out and being proven wrong or proven right doesnt matter, a consensus on the view does...
@ mulling over..
i'm the guy.. i'm wrong, no matter what.. a lesson that should be learnt early in life :)
hehe...that works better i guess!
you da man!
hehe.. much obliged ;)
